A rare combination piece,c.1735, with pivoting dressing glass set in a mahogany frame decorated with egg and dart mouldings.

The fall front opens to reveal a traditional bureau arrangement of pigeon holes and compartments hidden in columns.
It stands on a base enriched with Buddhistic lions’ masks at the knees and cleverly shaped cabriole legs which terminate, at the front, in hairy lions’ paw feet.
