Stucco Dragon
In western civilisations, the dragon is often used as a metaphor for the devil and this is the intention with the display.

The Viscount has gone further, however, and specified who he believes to be the devil. The clue is in the battle standard we see to the right, which flies the Union Flag, a clear reference to the United Kingdom which was at that time under Protestant rule.
