Hall Chair
An important walnut hall chair,c.1715, with a carved and waisted splat decorated with a fish scale pattern that takes its inspiration from imported Chinese ceramics and furniture.

It has not been established, as yet, whether this is an English or a Dutch chair. A similar example, although not quite so elaborate, is on dislpay in the Ryksmuseum in Amsterdam.
