Are You Sitting on a Fortune?
Have you ever wondered if some of your family heirlooms have any value? Now is the chance to find out and ask the experts at a special vaulation event to be run by Bonhams Auctioneers on Friday 16 May between 10.30 and 2pm.
The Friends of Fairfax House and York Civic Trust for the first time are hosting an informal ‘Antiques Roadshow’ valuation event with Bonhams Auctioneers on Friday 16 May from 10.30am to 2.00pm at the Friend Meeting House, Off Castlegate, York.
This event is open to members of the public and it is hoped that they will take advantage of having such expertise on their doorstep.
The Bonhams team of experts are expecting to make some important discoveries and would relish any challenges. They are looking for a whole variety of unusual or quirky objects, paintings and watercolours hopefully with a York connection but not necessarily. In particular there will be ceramics expertise in the team of valuers.
Tickets cost £5 and must be purchased in advance of this event from Fairfax House in Castlegate. There is a valuation fee of £2 per object which will be charged on the day.
