Silver Study Tour
A curator’s tour of pieces on display and those held in the reserve collection.
Fairfax House is home for an impressive collection of English silver dating from 1660 -1800. This includes some early York examples by John Plummer and Marmaduke Best, early Georgian candlesticks and sauceboats by Charles Frederick Kandler, an elegant epergne (illustrated), together with tureens, plates and cutlery which dress the dining room table.
