Friends of Fairfax House Event

Our tour will start at Holme-upon-Spalding-Moor, on its hill above the plain about 20 miles south-east of York. Then the short drive to Bubwith, near the river Derwent and with significant Norman features. Another short trip leads to Aughton, another Norman church with its link to Robert Aske who was executed by Henry VIII in 1536. Finally, back towards York to Wendy Bundy’s house in Elvington, where afternoon tea will be served.
