Rachel Wallis, Collections Manager and Assistant Curator of Fairfax House will tell her intriguing tale of the discovery of the portrait of Elizabeth, Viscount Fairfax’s first wife, and the tense public call for money and the acquisition of the picture. A chance to see the portrait up close and understand its significance to Fairfax House.
