When young horse-crazy Velvet Brown (Taylor) wins The Pie, a wild but gifted gelding, in a town lottery, her unbridled determination leads her to enter him in the Grand National. With the help of jaded former jockey Mi Taylor (Rooney), they train this spirited steed for England’s greatest racing event. Just one hurdle: only male jockeys are allowed! Has her dream come to a galloping halt or are the plucky trio in for the ride of their lives?
