Friends of Fairfax House Event

Saltmarshe Hall, near Howden East Yorkshire, is a quintessentially English manor that is mainly Georgian in design and has undergone various phases of renovation and extension. Nestled amongst meticulously manicured gardens, the Hall’s façade – resplendent in its classical symmetry – offers an inviting preview to the interior. Here one can find an amalgamation of period features including ornate cornices, intricate woodwork and grand fireplaces. Of particular note is the estate’s proximity to the river Ouse, lending the surrounding saltmarshes – which gave the house its name – a sense of tranquil seclusion.

Includes tea and scones.
